How can your experience or your business help fellow conference attendees?

With an extensive business background and as a mentor for both Futurpreneur Canada and Case Western University (Cleveland, Ohio) I can help conference attendees navigate the world of business if they have any questions about marketing, financing a business, planning and strategy.

#SocialforGood is all about solving social problems and helping people. What does social good mean in your personal world? Business world? Why does it matter to you?

I am passionate about helping women succeed in business. I spend a lot of time mentoring women to empower them to follow their dreams and overcome fear. In 2015 I’m researching for a book to guide women entrepreneurs towards entrepreneurship. Our business blog is geared to answering questions entrepreneurs may have about starting a business. We cover topics such as crowdfunding, business planning, social media, skills for women entrepreneurs. Women entrepreneurship is important to me because women can fuel economic growth by opening businesses on their own terms and at the same time enjoying the life/work balance they are looking for.

What do you hope to take away from the conference?

I love learning, so I’m looking forward to meeting women who want to make a difference and who might like to be featured in our book “Fabulous Fempreneurship”: A Business Start-up Guide For Women.

What do you think is our greatest social problem today? Any suggestions to solve it?

One of the greatest social problems today is the treatment of women in our culture, especially in underdeveloped countries where education is still not universally accessible. We can help to solve this problem if we support organizations that promote and empower girls and women around the world to be the best they can be. All of us who have daughters or granddaughters want better opportunities for the next generations.
