About Our Founder Leigh Mitchell

Leigh Mitchell is a Leadership Brand Strategist, Marketing Technology Educator, and Founder of Women in Biz Network (WIBN) and the ChangeMaker Collective, based in Toronto, Canada. Since founding WIBN in 2010, Leigh has grown the organization into a national community of over 35,000 women entrepreneurs, tech professionals, and ChangeMaker Leaders dedicated to inclusive, sustainable change.

Leigh is the creator of the Own Your Imprint framework, a proven approach to personal branding that helps leaders define, align, and amplify their unique leadership imprint. She is a Forbes Top 10 Entrepreneur of Impact, a Women of Microsoft award winner, and a Statistics Canada-recognized EDI Gender subject matter expert.

As an educator, Leigh teaches Digital Marketing, Business Technology, and Project Management at York University and the University of Guelph-Humber. She is the host of the ChangeMaker Leader Podcast and the founder of the Women in Tech Now Movement, bringing over 15 years of experience helping individuals and organizations stop fearing technology and start owning it.

Leigh has collaborated with Microsoft Canada, TELUS, TD Canada Trust, and Definity, and her expertise has been featured in CBC, The Globe and Mail, and The Wall Street Journal. Leigh has contributed to several books on gender, mentorship, entrepreneurship and holds certifications in Mental Health First Aid and Mentorship. Leigh applies a trauma-informed approach across her coaching and facilitation work.
