Biography
Jordan Kerton is a Recreation Therapist who has worked with people who live with disabilities for 13+ years. She specializes in outdoor adventure recreation and has created and coordinated adaptive hiking programs throughout the lower mainland. Jordan has been very fortunate to travel to exotic places with clients, providing personal care and expeditions with off-road wheelchairs in Fiji, Africa (Mount Kilimanjaro), the West Coast Trail, Mexico & Maui.
Jordan currently works at the False Creek Residence as their Recreation and Volunteer Coordinator, Her greatest passion in life is helping to improve quality of life for people who live with disabilities by promoting access to the outdoors, recreation and connection to nature. She owns and operates Access Revolution (AR), an online retailer of adaptive recreation equipment and an information hub sharing program & fundraising tools & resources. She hopes to empower individuals and communities to come together and create programs and opportunities so that everyone has the chance to play outside with their friends & family!
How can your experience or business help fellow conference attendees?
Optimism, problem solving and creative thinking have been great assets to me. It will be very meaningful to share ideas, inspiration and ultimately learn from fellow business women.
What are you passionate about in your business and what steps are you taking to make it profitable?
I am most passionate about helping people live THEIR best life. I will make this dream profitable by representing, marketing and selling the best adaptive recreation equipment that the industry has to offer.
What do you hope to take away from the conference?
I hope to learn more about how to run a successful business, meet inspiring women & if possible find a mentor who wants to share their brilliance and expertise.
What is your favourite business tool?
Social media!!! It is such an incredible platform to reach people and create relationships on a global level.
