Biography

Angela Solomos (Senior Director, Corporate Partnership)

Habitat for Humanity Greater Toronto Area is a non-profit housing organization that mobilizes volunteers and community partners in providing affordable housing and promoting homeownership as a means to breaking the cycle of poverty. One hundred percent of all administrative and fundraising costs are paid for by the operation of our ReStore locations. Habitat ReStores sell new and gently-used donated building and household products. Every 5.5 minutes, Habitat for Humanity helps a family improve their housing situation somewhere in the world.

Tell us about your business

Habitat for Humanity GTA is a leader in harnessing the power of partnership and volunteerism. Every year, we welcome more than 10,000 volunteers to our build sites, ReStores, events and office. We work with GTA based organizations to offer team building and corporate social responsibility opportunities with a focus on employee engagement and community development. Through our Adopt-A-Day program, Crew Program and signature events (including Women Build, Pride Build, Polar Bear Dip, and Gingerbread Build), we empower companies and individuals to be active agents of change. Together we build homes, hope and stronger communities.
