Would you feel comfortable walking into a meeting or conference with nothing to write with or on? Unless you have a stellar memory, then taking notes is still a fact of life.
With Penultimate, you can ditch the paper and pen. Penultimate lets you "write" on the iPad, just like you would with pen and paper. Only now the pen is your finger or stylus and the paper is well, the iPad itself.
Sure I could just as easily type on the iPad, but truth is I am still not comfortable typing on it. I make a ton of mistakes (which drives me crazy) not to mention my typing speed is compromised. So when I found out about Penultimate, I knew the team at Cocoa Box were onto something and I appreciate the chance to test the app for myself.
With customizations such as ink color, tip size and paper styles, you really do feel like you’re writing on an "actual piece of paper". Not only can you write, you can also draw, whether that be flow charts, cartoons or scribbles, this app can do everything that your paper and pen can do plus more.
The interface is incredibly simple and intuitive to use. Notebooks have an infinite number of pages and can be saved within the app. Notebooks or single pages within a notebook can be emailed or sent to ePrint-compatible printers for printing.
Remember the days when teachers would write on a transparency on the overhead projector so that everyone in the room could follow? Penultimate has brought this concept to the here and now. Others in the room can view the page projected on the screen as you’re writing via an iPad VGA adapter. This is why I love technology!
A recent app update now allows for pictures to be downloaded either from your Camera Roll or directly from the iPad 2 camera.
I can see Penultimate being a great on the go tool for fashion and interior designers and even team coaches to draw game plays.
Would you prefer to type or write on your iPad?
