POSITION SUMMARY
As a strong leader from within the Global Sales and Marketing (GSM) team; the selected incumbent will be based out of the Montreal region. Responsible for the effective leadership of the sales region through Quebec, Atlantic Canada as well as Newfoundland and Labrador; resulting in a sustained and aggressive sales growth. Collaboration with channel and business unit senior management as required; direct efforts and activities aimed at maintaining and deepening relationships with existing clients; additionally, this role will identify and pursue business opportunities in emerging markets which align with the objectives, goals and overall long-term strategic goals. Strong sales leadership and talent development of regional resources; Office operations, Presales support, management team along with other personnel within the region are part of the measures of success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership to Sales Management team on the development and implementation of complex sales strategies within the account region.
- Collaborate with channel management within the region to coordinate account coverage, including assignment of named and channel accounts.
- Collaborate with channel management to increase market share and ensure effective utilization of resources.
- Manage regional financial budget.
- Lead the development and implementation of the region’s overall sales strategy.
- Resolve critical product related issues with senior business unit management.
- Coach and assist the Sales Managers and region resources with planning, coordinating, and project management issues.
- Utilize and partner with non-sales and business unit teams as an integral part of the regional business plan.
- Facilitate teaming with other regions to support multi-region customer offerings.
- Lead a culture of inclusion and diversity and supporting all employee development through on the job assignments, coaching and mentoring and formal learning.
- Build relationships with key customers at senior levels.
- Ensure thorough familiarity with policies and procedures relating to standards of business conduct and train and motivate subordinates in the importance of full compliance with the letter and spirit of such policies and procedures.
- Responsible for District office operations and Presales support.
- Ensures thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws
- Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies as specified by the client.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor degree in engineering or other related technical field
- Minimum of twelve years of related experience
