Working solo doesn’t mean you have to be alone.
“Co-working” is a flexible and shared work environment that offers a professional setting for an entrepreneur, creative professional or growing business and as a destination for getting out of the house to ease the isolation of working alone. These facilities have a range of amenities such as access to a kitchen, a meeting room or an event space and services that may include a mailing address; Wi-Fi, telephones and more.
Each place has its own mandate and focus, from industry specific; membership fee based to community oriented. For instance, Toronto’s Centre for Social Innovation now has two locations and offers part-time desk space called a “Hot Desk”; or a private desk space that can be rented on a more permanent basis.
The list of co-working spaces is growing and is too lengthy to mention here. However here’s a new website (in beta) called Loosecubes that helps you “find shared office space by the day or month” in the US and Canada.
Last but not least is a co-working space in California with infant and childcare services. What a great idea!
So if you know of a co-working space in Canada that offers childcare services or if you are starting one? Let me know by posting your comment here.

Interesting
post!Great list of co-working spaces in different countries.
Coworking spaces are
open to all who play nicely. The world of work is changing, and that means times
of transition. We’re in just such a time now when it comes to places that
independents work, with old models being repurposed, new ideas coming online.
